Rei (Jane L.) Spickelmier

PT                            EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 

Rei is a physical therapist who has been practicing as a physical therapist for 31 years. She attended California State University at Long Beach, earning a BS in Physical Therapy. She has experience working with California Childrens Services, in-patient and out-patient facilities for pediatrics, the Ayres Clinic in Torrance, California and other pediatric therapy clinics, in-home pediatric services, and four different school districts. She is a certified provider and instructor in project MOVE through MOVE International. She has been trained in sensory integration, cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial release, neurodevelopmental treatment, Pilates, Yoga, acupressure, serial casting, applied analysis of autism spectrum disorder, and handwriting training. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, camping, hiking, water skiing, gardening and being a mom.

Dr. Nicole Sanguino

PT,DPT                      EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 

Nicole is a physical therapist who has practiced in the field of pediatrics for 18 years. She is a graduate of Loma Linda University and received her Bachelors in Science and Masters in Physical Therapy in 2003. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2006. Nicole has evaluated and treated children and infants of all ages and with multiple diagnoses. She has worked in a variety of settings including school systems, outpatient/sensory integration clinics, and early intervention home based visits. She has been trained in sensory integration, neurodevelopmental treatment, handwriting, early intervention, NICU, and Cascade DAFO orthotic bracing systems. She is also a certified instructor of infant massage and baby signs. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, spending time with her family, and being a mom.

BERTHA MONTOYA

Bertha has been working in the Physical Therapy field for over 7 years as a Physical Therapy Aide and administrative assistant. She studied at American College of Healthcare in Riverside where she received her Aide Certificate. Bertha is fluent in Spanish. She has 6 year old daughter who she loves to read to, take to the park, and go to the drive-in movies with. When she's not spending time with her daughter, Bertha enjoys going on hikes and spending time outdoors.

BREANNA FRANKLIN

THERAPY AIDE

Breanna graduated from California Baptist University with a major in Kinesiology, Concentration in Sports Medicine and a minor in Nutrition.  Breanna has experience working & volunteering in private therapy practices as well as hospital settings with patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.  Breanna have always had a passion for children and enjoys babysitting in her free time. When she is not working, she finds joy in spending time with her family, fiancé, traveling and loving on her 2 dogs- Koi and Saint. Breanna's goal is to continue her career path in becoming a pediatric physical therapist.

Dr. Catherine Luna

PT, DPT                      PT DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR

Dr. Catherine Luong graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with her Bachelors of Science in Biology while pursuing her passion for dance. After her undergraduate academic career, she wanted to combine her love of dance and the human body/movement with her desire to help people, so she sought out a career in physical therapy. She continued her graduate education by completing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University (LLU), and graduating with honors. During her time at LLU, she had clinical internships in various physical therapy settings including orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics. She fostered a love for pediatrics and a desire to help children with neurological and orthopedic impairments during her internship at Up n Movin’ Pediatric Therapy in Riverside, California.  In her spare time, she enjoys surfing, hot yoga, dancing, and playing with her miniature Australian Shepherd named Cody.

AMANDA FEHELENBERG

Mandi graduated from Loma Linda University in 2011 with a masters degree in occupational therapy. She has worked at Up and Movin' since 2011. She enjoys working with children of all ages and helping them to be as independent as possible through play. Mandi has experience and training in the areas of feeding, oral motor, handwriting, sensory processing, and school-based as well as early intervention. She has had training in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Handwriting Without Tears, and SOS Feeding Approach. She enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Alexis Aguirre

OTR/L                    LEVEL II OT 

Lexi is a certified and licensed occupational therapist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in pre-allied health professions from Cal State San Bernardino in 2015. She is a recent graduate from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where she received her Masters of Occupational Therapy. During her time at USAHS, she had internships in various OT settings including outpatient pediatrics, acute care, school-based therapy, and hippotherapy. She has a strong passion for pediatrics and is eager to continue her education in this rewarding setting. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer and spending time with her family, husband, and dog Thunder.

STEPHANIE CRUZ

Stephanie is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Dance in 2018. She then pursued her career in physical therapy by attending Loma Linda University and earning an Associate's of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant in 2021. During her time in Loma Linda, she had clinical rotations at various settings including orthopedics, geriatrics, acute care, pediatrics, and hippotherapy. She's always had a soft spot for children and just knew from the beginning that pediatrics was the setting for her. In her free time Stephanie enjoys watching anime, dancing, yoga, body/face painting, special effects makeup, and traveling

FRANCESCA MENDOZA

Francesca is certified and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a minor in Health Science from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2014. She then earned her OTA degree from Stanbridge University in 2019. During her internship, she worked in numerous pediatric settings including pediatric clinic, hippotherapy, and school-based occupational therapy. Francesca enjoys working in pediatrics and finds it truly rewarding to help kids reach their goals. In her free time, she loves to travel, go on foodie adventures, spend time with her family, friends, and her dog named Luna.

Miss Alex graduated from Stanbridge University in 2021. While at Stanbridge she had a wonderful opportunity to work with a variety of different demographics during her clinical rotations. She has experience working with the homeless population, geriatrics, and pediatrics. Working in the pediatric setting is most rewarding for her because she gets to see each child grow and become more independent in their day to day lives. In her free time she enjoys going to the park with her pup Miller, relaxing with her cat Sage, and spending quality time with family.  

YVETTE GONZALEZ

Yvette is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant who graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills with her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science with an emphasis on Healthcare Management in 2017. She then earned her licensed and certification and graduated from Santa Ana College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2018. Most of her background experience was in the geriatrics setting but during her time as a student at SAC, her interest in a pediatric setting grew after volunteering at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange and during an internship at a school-based OT peds setting where she knew she belonged in pediatrics. She believes pediatrics is a rewarding setting and enjoys seeing her patients meet their goals. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her cocker spaniel named Yoko. She loves creating arts & crafts, enjoys camping, traveling, and going to Disneyland on her free time.

JAMIE SANCHEZ

Jamie is a Physical Therapy Assistant who graduated from California State University, Long Beach with her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis on Kinesiotherapy, and Minor in Psychology. She then went on to earn her certification and became a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant at Cerritos College in 2016. For the past 3 years, she has been a practicing PTA consultant working 1 on 1 with adults with disabilities at adult day care programs. Working in the pediatric setting has been a long time goal of hers. She has internship experience at Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach, CA, where she helped to treat in the inpatient, outpatient and aquatic therapy setting. She feels the pediatric setting is very rewarding and she loves that she is able to help her patients attain their goals early in life to set them up for a bright and better future. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys cooking, spending time with family, including her miniature schnauzer named Cooper.

Courtney is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from California State University of San Marcos, with her Bachelors in Communication Sciences & Disorders. She acquired her clinical hours through a program offered by Loma Linda University and gained experience from working with children in a clinical setting. Courtney enjoys working with children and strives to inspire and motivate them as they progress. Her ultimate goal while working with children is to continuously make a positive difference in their lives. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys traveling, hiking, spending time with family and her dog Milo. 

MARTHA RODRIGUEZ

Martha is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated with her Bachelor's degree and license from California Baptist University in Communication Disorders. Martha enjoys working with children as she has been working with kids since the age of 13 at her local church. In her free time Martha loves to cook and bake, when she’s not working with kids she's cooking away in the kitchen! She also loves to watch movies, especially Marvel movies! Martha is so excited to be working here at Up & Movin where she hopes to continue making a difference in your child’s life.

Stefany is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated with her Bachelor's degree and license from California Baptist University in Communication Disorders. She has been working as a SLPA for 6 years and has experience working with children in several different settings. With that experience, she has found child development very rewarding. In her free time, she loves spending time in the outdoors with her  son, daughter and husband, serving her local community, and playing the guitar.

 Vincent graduated from CBU with a BS in communication sciences and disorders. He gained clinical hours at a local elementary school in Riverside before joining UP & MOVIN’. Waffa is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from California Baptist University, with her Bachelors in Communication Sciences and Disorders. During her undergrad, she volunteered at a variety of settings that helped her gain experience working with children of all ages. Waffa enjoys working with children because it is so rewarding. Not only is she helping them reach their goals, but she is also able to learn something new from each child she works with.

In her free time, she loves cooking, reading, trying out new restaurants, spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs Kovu and Grizzly.

Anthony is a licensed SLPA who earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Redlands. He recorded his clinical hours through a program offered at Loma Linda University, and gained a lot of experience working with children who required speech therapy in both school, and clinical settings. He knew he wanted to be a speech pathologist since the young age of 17. His motivation has always been to impact the lives of others in positive and meaningful ways. His interests include things such as playing video-games, starting games of pick-up basketball, spending time with family and friends, and going for long walks.

JANICE MCINTYRE

Janice has been a Speech Language Pathologist for 12 years. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including toddlers to adults. Janice was born in raised in Riverside, she completed her undergraduate and Masters degree at the University of Redlands. Janice currently works at a local high school part time. Her professional passions include language and literacy as well as assessments. When Janice is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 sons, and her husband. They enjoy camping and embarking on new adventures.

Savannah is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from California Baptist University with her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. During her undergrad, Savannah gained clinical experience at an elementary school in San Bernardino. She loves working with children of all ages and views it as an honor to be able to help them reach their goals. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at her local church, going on hikes with friends, and trying new foods.

Nicole is a Speech Language Pathologist. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including school-aged children to teenagers. Nicole was born and raised in Southern California. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of California, Riverside in 2008 and earned her Master’s of Science in Communicative Disorders at the University of Redlands in 2011. Nicole has previously worked at a local high school and continues to currently work at the Up & Movin’ Pediatric Therapy clinic. Her professional passions include functional communication in the community for young adults, as well as, augmentative and alternative communication options. When Nicole is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, mountain biking, running, and swimming.

KELLEIGH VALDEZ

Kelleigh is a Speech Language Pathologist. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including toddlers to adults. Kelleigh was born and raised in Southern California.
