Rei (Jane L.) Spickelmier


Rei is a physical therapist who has been practicing as a physical therapist for 30 years. She attended California State University at Long Beach, earning a BS in Physical Therapy. She has experience working with California Childrens Services, in-patient and out-patient facilities for pediatrics, the Ayres Clinic in Torrance, California and other pediatric therapy clinics, in-home pediatric services, and four different school districts. She is a certified provider and instructor in project MOVE through MOVE International. She has been trained in sensory integration, cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial release, neurodevelopmental treatment, Pilates, Yoga, acupressure, serial casting, applied analysis of autism spectrum disorder, and handwriting training. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, camping, hiking, water skiing, gardening and being a mom.

Dr. Nicole Sanguino


Nicole is a physical therapist who has practiced in the field of pediatrics for 15 years. She is a graduate of Loma Linda University and received her Bachelors in Science and Masters in Physical Therapy in 2003. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2006. Nicole has evaluated and treated children and infants of all ages and with multiple diagnoses. She has worked in a variety of settings including school systems, outpatient/sensory integration clinics, and early intervention home based visits. She has been trained in sensory integration, neurodevelopmental treatment, handwriting, early intervention, NICU, and Cascade DAFO orthotic bracing systems. She is also a certified instructor of infant massage and baby signs. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, spending time with her family, and being a mom.

Danielle Carpenter,


Danielle Carpenter has been a speech language pathologist for 6 years working with a wide variety of clients. She came to us from sunny San Diego where she completed her undergraduate and masters degree at San Diego State University. She worked in the San Diego schools for two years working with students from preschool to high school. In 2012, she moved to Riverside (where she grew up) and is currently beginning her fourth year in the private setting as well as a local elementary school. She has a passion for working with students with social/pragmatic deficits and loves to learn new treatment techniques. When Danielle is not working, she's cuddling her two month old daughter while chasing her 2.5 year old son around the yard! She loves spending time with them and watching them grow.

Amanda Fehlenberg


Mandi graduated from Loma Linda University in 2011 with a masters degree in occupational therapy. She has worked at Up and Movin' since 2011. She enjoys working with children of all ages and helping them to be as independent as possible through play. Mandi has experience and training in the areas of feeding, oral motor, handwriting, sensory processing, and school-based as well as early intervention. She has had training in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Handwriting Without Tears, and SOS Feeding Approach. She enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Lori Jean Llamas

Administrative Assistant

Lori is an the Administrative Assistant here at Up & Movin.' She attended Summit Career College and received her certificate in Medical Billing and Coding in 2006 and Medical Assistant in 2008. Lori is the person who will answer and follow up on all of your child's authorization needs. She has three children of her own including one boy and two girls. They always keep her on her feet, make her laugh, smile, and make her love motherhood!! During her free time she loves doing arts/crafts and sewing.

Janice McIntyre

M.A.,CCC-SLP Speech & Language Pathologist

Janice McIntyre has been a Speech Language Pathologist for 11 years. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including toddlers to adults. Janice was born in raised in Riverside, she completed her undergraduate and Masters degree at the University of Redlands. Janice currently works at a local high school part time. Her professional passions include language and literacy as well as assessments. When Janice is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 sons, and her husband. They enjoy camping and embarking on new adventures.

Austen Zimarik


Austen is a licensed SLPA who obtained his Bachelors in Science in Communication Disorders from California Baptist University. He has a passion for seeing the success in others rather than his own success. During his free time he studies techniques to further his speech education and practice. Austen also loves to golf and spend time with his family.

Connie Wells


Connie is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, she joined Up and Movin September 2016. She obtained her Associates of Science degree in 2015 from Loma Linda University. She enjoyed her first look at pediatrics during her clinical experience with California Childrens Services. Connie has always loved being around children. She loves spending time with her son in her free time. Outside of work Connie loves to travel, and spend time with her husband, family and friends.

Erica Lopez

Front Office

Erica has ran the front office for a physical therapy clinic for over 5 years.  She welcomes the kids with open arms and loves to witness their improvements over time. Erica is currently studying to be a Special Education teacher and is majoring in Early Childhood Studies with a minor in Psychology. In her free time, She enjoys spending time with her husband, dog and family. Her hobbies include crocheting, playing the ukulele and hiking.

Dr. Catherine Luong


Dr. Catherine Luong graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with her Bachelors of Science in Biology while pursuing her passion for dance. After her undergraduate academic career, she wanted to combine her love of dance and the human body/movement with her desire to help people, so she sought out a career in physical therapy. She continued her graduate education by completing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University (LLU), and graduating with honors. During her time at LLU, she had clinical internships in various physical therapy settings including orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics. She fostered a love for pediatrics and a desire to help children with neurological and orthopedic impairments during her internship at Up n Movin’ Pediatric Therapy in Riverside, California.  On her spare time, she enjoys surfing, hot yoga, dancing, and playing with her miniature Australian Shepherd named Cody.

Kristi Rapp


Kristi Rapp COTA/L earned a bachelors degree in Behavioral Science from Concordia University in Irvine 1996. Having a creative spirit she wanted to incorporate it into a career where she could continue to make a difference in people’s lives. In 2014 she decided to pursue an associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance from Santa Ana College. In 2016 she graduated with not only a degree but her first baby. Kristi loves children and has a great understanding of the developmental process. She firmly believes that they learn and grow better using a whole person approach in treatment and keeping it client centered. Treatment must be engaging, challenging and meaningful to the child and their family if it is going to be impactful. Outside of work Kristi enjoys family time, competitive ballroom dancing, drawing/painting, hiking, nature, puzzles and doing all sorts of arts and crafts. She also has a blog where she loves sharing ideas, therapeutic activities and recent art projects.

Rosa Alvarez


Rosa Alvarez is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. She has been practicing as a SLPA for 4 years in Texas and California. She went to Lubbock Christian University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Rosa loves helping others, but the best part of her job is showing her kids how to use their voice. On her off time, you can usually find her with her two dogs (Lexxee & Dozer), practicing yoga, baking, spending time with family, or doing anything outdoors.

Alexis Aguirre


Lexi Aguirre is a certified and licensed occupational therapist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in pre-allied health professions from Cal State San Bernardino in 2015. She is a recent graduate from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where she received her Masters of Occupational Therapy. During her time at USAHS, she had internships in various OT settings including outpatient pediatrics, acute care, school-based therapy, and hippotherapy. She has a strong passion for pediatrics and is eager to continue her education in this rewarding setting. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer and spending time with her family, fiancée, and dog Thunder.

Lindsay Blount

COTA, Occupational Therapy Assistant

Lindsay is a licensed and certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She Graduated from Riverside City College in 2016 with an associate degree in Social and Behavioral Studies as well as in Early Childhood Education. In 2018 she graduated from Santa Ana College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has experience working with children in a variety of settings including preschools, child development centers, hippotherapy, shelters, orphanages, and pediatric clinics. Lindsay has always been very passionate about pediatrics and loves to help and guide children to be as independent as possible. She believes every child deserves the chance to thrive and that occupational therapy is a means to incorporate what is meaningful to individuals and families to reach an end goal of optimal independence. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, and skiing. Her favorite spots are the redwoods and the Oregon Coast.

Toby Bear Lopez

Therapy Companion

Toby Bear Lopez, is a poodle mix that was rescued from the shelter in 2014. Toby loves people and loves making new friends. He enjoys long walks, going on hikes, naps, and lots and lots of belly rubs. He is very playful and can not wait to make new friends in therapy!

Lisa is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from California State University, Fullerton with her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2015. She then earned her Post-Baccalaureate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. Lisa has a background in applied behavior analysis and has a passion for working with kids. She loves to see them improve and help them reach their goals. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, especially country two-step, spending time with her husband and dogs named Cali and Puck, and doing anything that involves being outdoors.

Stefany Luna


Stefany Luna SLPA is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated with her Bachelor's degree and license from California Baptist University in Communication Disorders. She has been working as a SLPA for 3 years and has experience working with children in several different settings. With that experience, she has found child development very rewarding. In her free time, she loves spending time in the outdoors with my 1-year-old son and husband, serving her local community, and playing the guitar.

Emily Vore-Pati

Physical Therapy Assistant

Emily obtained her PTA degree from Loma Linda University, and her BS Kinesiology from Notre Dame de Namur University, where she also was apart of the Women's Basketball team. She originally started her Physical Therapy journey in Orthopedics, but had a growing desire to help children in need. In her free time , she enjoys weightlifting, running, traveling with her husband, spending time with family, and serving her church.
