Rei (Jane L.) Spickelmier

PT                            EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 

Rei is a physical therapist who has been practicing as a physical therapist for 31 years. She attended California State University at Long Beach, earning a BS in Physical Therapy. She has experience working with California Childrens Services, in-patient and out-patient facilities for pediatrics, the Ayres Clinic in Torrance, California and other pediatric therapy clinics, in-home pediatric services, and four different school districts. She is a certified provider and instructor in project MOVE through MOVE International. She has been trained in sensory integration, cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial release, neurodevelopmental treatment, Pilates, Yoga, acupressure, serial casting, applied analysis of autism spectrum disorder, and handwriting training. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, camping, hiking, water skiing, gardening and being a mom.

Dr. Nicole Sanguino

PT,DPT                      EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 

Nicole is a physical therapist who has practiced in the field of pediatrics for 18 years. She is a graduate of Loma Linda University and received her Bachelors in Science and Masters in Physical Therapy in 2003. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2006. Nicole has evaluated and treated children and infants of all ages and with multiple diagnoses. She has worked in a variety of settings including school systems, outpatient/sensory integration clinics, and early intervention home based visits. She has been trained in sensory integration, neurodevelopmental treatment, handwriting, early intervention, NICU, and Cascade DAFO orthotic bracing systems. She is also a certified instructor of infant massage and baby signs. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, spending time with her family, and being a mom.

BERTHA MONTOYA

FRONT OFFICE

Bertha has been working in the Physical Therapy field for over 7 years as a Physical Therapy Aide and administrative assistant. She studied at American College of Healthcare in Riverside where she received her Aide Certificate. Bertha is fluent in Spanish. She has 4 year old daughter who she loves to read to, take to the park, and go to the drive-in movies with. When she's not spending time with her daughter, Bertha enjoys going on hikes and spending time outdoors.

MATTHEW CASTELLON

  Matthew, also known as Matt, has been in the medical field for over 6 years. He loves to see patients improve as much as possible in the time that they come into the clinic. His plans are to become a Radiology Technician and eventually specialize into the MRI field. Matthew's hobbies include spending time at home with his family and dog, reading, photography, and baseball.Matthew, also known as Matt, has been in the medical field for over 6 years. Lori Jean Llamas

OFFICE MANAGER  MEDICAL BILLER 

Lori is the Office Manager here at Up & Movin.' She attended Summit Career College and received her certificate in Medical Billing and Coding in 2006 and Medical Assistant in 2008. Lori is the person who will answer and follow up on all of your child's authorization needs. She has three children of her own including one boy and two girls. They always keep her on her feet, make her laugh, smile, and make her love motherhood!! During her free time she loves doing arts/crafts and sewing.

JAMILET DIAZ

THERAPY AIDE

Jam Graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and a minor in Religious Studies. Her plans are to become a pediatric occupational therapist. Prior to joining the Up & Movin' team, Jam volunteered at a variety of outpatient pediatric rehabilitation practices where she was worked hand in hand with the therapists. Jam's hobbies include reading, finding new hiking trails, playing tennis, and spending time at home on the ranch with her family and pets.


IFEYINWA IWEKAOGWU

SLPA ST DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR

Ifeyinwa is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from the University of California, Merced with her Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science in 2015. She then earned her Post-Baccalaureate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. She loves working with children and helping them grow. In her free time, she loves crafting and spending time with her daughter and family.

Dr. Catherine Luna

PT, DPT                            PT DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR

Dr. Catherine Luong graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with her Bachelors of Science in Biology while pursuing her passion for dance. After her undergraduate academic career, she wanted to combine her love of dance and the human body/movement with her desire to help people, so she sought out a career in physical therapy. She continued her graduate education by completing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University (LLU), and graduating with honors. During her time at LLU, she had clinical internships in various physical therapy settings including orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics. She fostered a love for pediatrics and a desire to help children with neurological and orthopedic impairments during her internship at Up n Movin’ Pediatric Therapy in Riverside, California.  In her spare time, she enjoys surfing, hot yoga, dancing, and playing with her miniature Australian Shepherd named Cody.

AMANDA FEHELENBERG

MOT, OTR/L                     OT DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR

Mandi graduated from Loma Linda University in 2011 with a masters degree in occupational therapy. She has worked at Up and Movin' since 2011. She enjoys working with children of all ages and helping them to be as independent as possible through play. Mandi has experience and training in the areas of feeding, oral motor, handwriting, sensory processing, and school-based as well as early intervention. She has had training in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Handwriting Without Tears, and SOS Feeding Approach. She enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Alexis Aguirre

OTR/L

Lexi is a certified and licensed occupational therapist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in pre-allied health professions from Cal State San Bernardino in 2015. She is a recent graduate from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where she received her Masters of Occupational Therapy. During her time at USAHS, she had internships in various OT settings including outpatient pediatrics, acute care, school-based therapy, and hippotherapy. She has a strong passion for pediatrics and is eager to continue her education in this rewarding setting. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer and spending time with her family, husband, and dog Thunder.

NIKKI PILAPIL

Nicole, also known as Nikki, is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant who graduated from Concorde Career College in 2021. She also graduated from Cal State San Marcos in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. Growing up, Nikki was always fascinated with how the human body functions and always knew she wanted to pursue a career in physical therapy. She has a passion for helping others and fell in love with the pediatric field when she began working at Up and Movin'. Nikki strives for the well-being of others in hopes to create a positive impact for those in need, as well as helping them achieve their fullest potential. In her free time, Nikki enjoys spending time with her loved ones, roller skating, and djing on her turntables.

LINDSAY BLOUNT

COTA

Lindsay is a licensed and certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She Graduated from Riverside City College in 2016 with an associate degree in Social and Behavioral Studies as well as in Early Childhood Education. In 2018 she graduated from Santa Ana College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has experience working with children in a variety of settings including preschools, child development centers, hippotherapy, shelters, orphanages, and pediatric clinics. Lindsay has always been very passionate about pediatrics and loves to help and guide children to be as independent as possible. She believes every child deserves the chance to thrive and that occupational therapy is a means to incorporate what is meaningful to individuals and families to reach an end goal of optimal independence. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, and skiing. Her favorite spots are the redwoods and the Oregon Coast.

FRANCESCA MENDOZA

Francesca is certified and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a minor in Health Science from California State University, Dominguez Hills in 2014. She then earned her OTA degree from Stanbridge University in 2019. During her internship, she worked in numerous pediatric settings including pediatric clinic, hippotherapy, and school-based occupational therapy. Francesca enjoys working in pediatrics and finds it truly rewarding to help kids reach their goals. In her free time, she loves to travel, go on foodie adventures, spend time with her family, friends, and her dog named Luna.

BRITNEY TASKER

Britney is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant who graduated from California State University, San Marcos with her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2015. She continued her education to become a certified and licensed COTA from Santa Ana College in 2020. During school, she completed internships in several pediatric settings including pediatric outpatient clinic and Therapeutic Riding. During her internships, she developed a passion for working in pediatrics and loves helping children attain their goals. In her free time, she loves to go on hikes, baking, and spending time with family and friends. 

YVETTE GONZALEZ

COTA

Yvette is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant who graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills with her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science with an emphasis on Healthcare Management in 2017. She then earned her licensed and certification and graduated from Santa Ana College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2018. Most of her background experience was in the geriatrics setting but during her time as a student at SAC, her interest in a pediatric setting grew after volunteering at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange and during an internship at a school-based OT peds setting where she knew she belonged in pediatrics. She believes pediatrics is a rewarding setting and enjoys seeing her patients meet their goals. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her cocker spaniel named Yoko. She loves creating arts & crafts, enjoys camping, traveling, and going to Disneyland on her free time.

RYAN GALO

PTA

Ryan graduated from Cal State Fullerton with his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2017 and pursued his career in the physical therapy world by attending Concorde Career College where he graduated and became a Physical Therapist Assistant in 2021. His love for the field stems from his personal experience with physical therapy through family medical situations and saw first hand the impact that physical therapy can have. Ryan strives to do the same for someone else or their family . Ryan being the 3rd eldest of 9 siblings is no slouch to mentoring children in a variety of sport activities as well as assisting them in problem solving tough their challenges. Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant, Ryan spent 6 years working at The Disneyland Resort where he attended to children of all ages and abilities. In his free time, Ryan enjoys sports including basketball, tennis, indoor rock climbing, playing the guitar, as well as playing video games.

JAMIE SANCHEZ

Jamie is a Physical Therapy Assistant who graduated from California State University, Long Beach with her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis on Kinesiotherapy, and Minor in Psychology. She then went on to earn her certification and became a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant at Cerritos College in 2016. For the past 3 years, she has been a practicing PTA consultant working 1 on 1 with adults with disabilities at adult day care programs. Working in the pediatric setting has been a long time goal of hers. She has internship experience at Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach, CA, where she helped to treat in the inpatient, outpatient and aquatic therapy setting. She feels the pediatric setting is very rewarding and she loves that she is able to help her patients attain their goals early in life to set them up for a bright and better future. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys cooking, spending time with family, including her miniature schnauzer named Cooper.

ALIZIA PONCE

Alizia is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from California Baptist University with her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and disorders. Prior to working as a SLPA she was working as a Preschool Instructional Assistant. She enjoys working with children. Her interests are listening to music, reading, and watching movies. She is a huge Star Wars, Marvel, and Lord of the Rings fan. She is currently learning how to play the electric guitar. 

MARTHA RODRIGUEZ

Martha is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated with her Bachelor's degree and license from California Baptist University in Communication Disorders. Martha enjoys working with children as she has been working with kids since the age of 13 at her local church. In her free time Martha loves to cook and bake, when she’s not working with kids she's cooking away in the kitchen! She also loves to watch movies, especially Marvel movies! Martha is so excited to be working here at Up & Movin where she hopes to continue making a difference in your child’s life.

STEFANY LUNA

Stefany is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated with her Bachelor's degree and license from California Baptist University in Communication Disorders. She has been working as a SLPA for 6 years and has experience working with children in several different settings. With that experience, she has found child development very rewarding. In her free time, she loves spending time in the outdoors with her  son, daughter and husband, serving her local community, and playing the guitar.

NABILA MOHAMMED

Nabila graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor's in Psychology and Social Behavior, and a Minor in Education. She continued on to receive a Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. Nabila loves being a SLPA and has worked in clinics, homes, and a pre-school, with kids and adults. She loves to find new hiking trails, spend time with friends and family, and (when time allows) do crafts and DIY projects. She loves to decorate, and along with her husband, try or develop new recipes in the kitchen. She's a huge Harry Potter fan, and loves watching all kinds of TV shows, and listens to true-crime podcasts. She's unofficially planning her next adventure as she's in a constant state of wanderlust.

Waffa is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from California Baptist University, with her Bachelors in Communication Sciences and Disorders. During her undergrad, she volunteered at a variety of settings that helped her gain experience working with children of all ages. Waffa enjoys working with children because it is so rewarding. Not only is she helping them reach their goals, but she is also able to learn something new from each child she works with.

In her free time, she loves cooking, reading, trying out new restaurants, spending time with family, friends, and her two dogs Kovu and Grizzly. 

ANTHONY GODOY

Anthony is a licensed SLPA who earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Redlands. He recorded his clinical hours through a program offered at Loma Linda University, and gained a lot of experience working with children who required speech therapy in both school, and clinical settings. He knew he wanted to be a speech pathologist since the young age of 17. His motivation has always been to impact the lives of others in positive and meaningful ways. His interests include things such as playing video-games, starting games of pick-up basketball, spending time with family and friends, and going for long walks.

JANICE MCINTYRE

Janice has been a Speech Language Pathologist for 12 years. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including toddlers to adults. Janice was born in raised in Riverside, she completed her undergraduate and Masters degree at the University of Redlands. Janice currently works at a local high school part time. Her professional passions include language and literacy as well as assessments. When Janice is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 sons, and her husband. They enjoy camping and embarking on new adventures.

Krista BOwen

Krista is a licensed Speech Language Pathology Assistant.  She received her BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Iowa in 2018. Krista decided to work in the speech field because she loves working with and helping children. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband, and playing with her dogs and guinea pigs. She also loves trying new foods, playing games and watching movies

Cheyenne is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from California Baptist University with her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. During her undergrad, she volunteered through her school’s NSSLHA club which allowed her to gain experience working with children of all ages and backgrounds. She completed fieldwork at a local Riverside elementary school which is where her love for fostering the growth of children grew even more. She loves to serve children and see them grow while creating a fun environment for them. In her free time, she enjoys date night with her husband but also just laying low at home with a good movie/tv show (huge Marvel fan). She loves camping, dinner parties with friends, weekend walks to her local coffee shop with her dog and husband, and meeting up with friends at church.

Nicole is a Speech Language Pathologist. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including school-aged children to teenagers. Nicole was born and raised in Southern California. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of California, Riverside in 2008 and earned her Master’s of Science in Communicative Disorders at the University of Redlands in 2011. Nicole has previously worked at a local high school and continues to currently work at the Up & Movin’ Pediatric Therapy clinic. Her professional passions include functional communication in the community for young adults, as well as, augmentative and alternative communication options. When Nicole is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, mountain biking, running, and swimming.

KELLEIGH VALDEZ

Kelleigh is a Speech Language Pathologist. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including toddlers to adults. Kelleigh was born and raised in Southern California. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of San Diego in 2008 and earned her Master’s of Science in Communicative Disorders at the University of Redlands in 2011. Kelleigh currently works at a local elementary school and the Up & Movin’ Pediatric Therapy clinic. Her professional passions include articulation / phonology, as well as, early intervention. When Kelleigh is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, swimming, and running.
