Rei (Jane L.) Spickelmier

PT

Rei is a physical therapist who has been practicing as a physical therapist for 30 years. She attended California State University at Long Beach, earning a BS in Physical Therapy. She has experience working with California Childrens Services, in-patient and out-patient facilities for pediatrics, the Ayres Clinic in Torrance, California and other pediatric therapy clinics, in-home pediatric services, and four different school districts. She is a certified provider and instructor in project MOVE through MOVE International. She has been trained in sensory integration, cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial release, neurodevelopmental treatment, Pilates, Yoga, acupressure, serial casting, applied analysis of autism spectrum disorder, and handwriting training. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, camping, hiking, water skiing, gardening and being a mom.

Dr. Nicole Sanguino

PT,DPT

Nicole is a physical therapist who has practiced in the field of pediatrics for 17 years. She is a graduate of Loma Linda University and received her Bachelors in Science and Masters in Physical Therapy in 2003. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2006. Nicole has evaluated and treated children and infants of all ages and with multiple diagnoses. She has worked in a variety of settings including school systems, outpatient/sensory integration clinics, and early intervention home based visits. She has been trained in sensory integration, neurodevelopmental treatment, handwriting, early intervention, NICU, and Cascade DAFO orthotic bracing systems. She is also a certified instructor of infant massage and baby signs. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, spending time with her family, and being a mom.

Amanda Fehlenberg

MOT, OTR/L

Mandi graduated from Loma Linda University in 2011 with a masters degree in occupational therapy. She has worked at Up and Movin' since 2011. She enjoys working with children of all ages and helping them to be as independent as possible through play. Mandi has experience and training in the areas of feeding, oral motor, handwriting, sensory processing, and school-based as well as early intervention. She has had training in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Handwriting Without Tears, and SOS Feeding Approach. She enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Lori Jean Llamas

Office Manager 

Lori is an the Administrative Assistant here at Up & Movin.' She attended Summit Career College and received her certificate in Medical Billing and Coding in 2006 and Medical Assistant in 2008. Lori is the person who will answer and follow up on all of your child's authorization needs. She has three children of her own including one boy and two girls. They always keep her on her feet, make her laugh, smile, and make her love motherhood!! During her free time she loves doing arts/crafts and sewing.

Janice McIntyre

M.A.,CCC-SLP 

Janice McIntyre has been a Speech Language Pathologist for 11 years. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including toddlers to adults. Janice was born in raised in Riverside, she completed her undergraduate and Masters degree at the University of Redlands. Janice currently works at a local high school part time. Her professional passions include language and literacy as well as assessments. When Janice is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 sons, and her husband. They enjoy camping and embarking on new adventures.

Austen Zimarik

SLPA

Austen is a licensed SLPA who obtained his Bachelors in Science in Communication Disorders from California Baptist University. He has a passion for seeing the success in others rather than his own success. During his free time he studies techniques to further his speech education and practice. Austen also loves to golf and spend time with his family.

Erica Lopez

FRONT OFFICE 

Erica has ran the front office for a physical therapy clinic for over 5 years.  She welcomes the kids with open arms and loves to witness their improvements over time. Erica is currently studying to be a Special Education teacher and is majoring in Early Childhood Studies with a minor in Psychology. In her free time, She enjoys spending time with her husband, dog and family. Her hobbies include crocheting, playing the ukulele and hiking.

Dr. Catherine Luna

PT, DPT

Dr. Catherine Luong graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with her Bachelors of Science in Biology while pursuing her passion for dance. After her undergraduate academic career, she wanted to combine her love of dance and the human body/movement with her desire to help people, so she sought out a career in physical therapy. She continued her graduate education by completing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University (LLU), and graduating with honors. During her time at LLU, she had clinical internships in various physical therapy settings including orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics. She fostered a love for pediatrics and a desire to help children with neurological and orthopedic impairments during her internship at Up n Movin’ Pediatric Therapy in Riverside, California.  On her spare time, she enjoys surfing, hot yoga, dancing, and playing with her miniature Australian Shepherd named Cody.

Rosa Alvarez

SLPA

Rosa Alvarez is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. She has been practicing as a SLPA for 4 years in Texas and California. She went to Lubbock Christian University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Rosa loves helping others, but the best part of her job is showing her kids how to use their voice. On her off time, you can usually find her with her two dogs (Lexxee & Dozer), practicing yoga, baking, spending time with family, or doing anything outdoors.

Alexis Aguirre

Lexi Aguirre is a certified and licensed occupational therapist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in pre-allied health professions from Cal State San Bernardino in 2015. She is a recent graduate from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, where she received her Masters of Occupational Therapy. During her time at USAHS, she had internships in various OT settings including outpatient pediatrics, acute care, school-based therapy, and hippotherapy. She has a strong passion for pediatrics and is eager to continue her education in this rewarding setting. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer and spending time with her family, fiancée, and dog Thunder.

Lindsay Blount

COTA

Lindsay is a licensed and certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She Graduated from Riverside City College in 2016 with an associate degree in Social and Behavioral Studies as well as in Early Childhood Education. In 2018 she graduated from Santa Ana College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has experience working with children in a variety of settings including preschools, child development centers, hippotherapy, shelters, orphanages, and pediatric clinics. Lindsay has always been very passionate about pediatrics and loves to help and guide children to be as independent as possible. She believes every child deserves the chance to thrive and that occupational therapy is a means to incorporate what is meaningful to individuals and families to reach an end goal of optimal independence. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking, and skiing. Her favorite spots are the redwoods and the Oregon Coast.

Irmina Reid

Irmina is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and graduated from Loma Linda University in 2016. She joined the Up and Movin’ team in May 2019! Irmina has always had a passion for being around kids. Over the past 6 years, Irmina has volunteered for an Adapted PE Specialist along with being a buddy at the OC Faley Special Games. She is excited to make a career out of pediatric physical therapy! On her free time, you can catch her hanging out with her husband at a movie theater, Knott’s Berry Farm, or walking around any quaint downtown area!

Lisa DiMercurio

Lisa is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from California State University, Fullerton with her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2015. She then earned her Post-Baccalaureate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. Lisa has a background in applied behavior analysis and has a passion for working with kids. She loves to see them improve and help them reach their goals. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, especially country two-step, spending time with her husband and dogs named Cali and Puck, and doing anything that involves being outdoors.

Stefany Luna

Stefany Luna SLPA is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated with her Bachelor's degree and license from California Baptist University in Communication Disorders. She has been working as a SLPA for 3 years and has experience working with children in several different settings. With that experience, she has found child development very rewarding. In her free time, she loves spending time in the outdoors with my 1-year-old son and husband, serving her local community, and playing the guitar.

JC Lynne Lu Sing

THERAPY AIDE

JC graduated from the University of California, Riverside and received her Bachelors of Arts in Neuroscience in 2018. She is now in the process of applying to physical therapy schools to obtain her DPT. She has experience working with children as a tutor and student mentor in addition to working as a behavioral therapist. She also has interned at other various PT clinics to gain a deeper understanding of the field. She believes that working with children is incredibly heart-warming and loves the energy of working in pediatrics. In her free time, she enjoys singing, dancing, traveling, weight-lifting, yoga, and spending time with the people she loves.

Ifeyinwa is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant who graduated from the University of California, Merced with her Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science in 2015. She then earned her Post-Baccalaureate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Chapman University. She loves working with children and helping them grow. In her free time, she loves crafting and spending time with her daughter and family.

Yvette Gonzalez

Yvette is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant who graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills with her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science with an emphasis on Healthcare Management in 2017. She then earned her licensed and certification and graduated from Santa Ana College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2018. Most of her background experience was in the geriatrics setting but during her time as a student at SAC, her interest in a pediatric setting grew after volunteering at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange and during an internship at a school-based OT peds setting where she knew she belonged in pediatrics. She believes pediatrics is a rewarding setting and enjoys seeing her patients meet their goals. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her cocker spaniel named Yoko. She loves creating arts & crafts, enjoys camping, traveling, and going to Disneyland on her free time.

Bertha Montoya

FRONT OFFICE

Bertha has been working in the Physical Therapy field for over 7 years as a Physical Therapy Aide and administrative assistant. She studied at American College of Healthcare in Riverside where she received her Aide Certificate. Bertha is fluent in Spanish. She has 4 year old daughter who she loves to read to, take to the park, and go to the drive-in movies with. When she's not spending time with her daughter, Bertha enjoys going on hikes and spending time outdoors.

Jamie Sanchez

PTA

Jamie is a Physical Therapy Assistant who graduated from California State University, Long Beach with her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis on Kinesiotherapy, and Minor in Psychology. She then went on to earn her certification and became a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant at Cerritos College in 2016. For the past 3 years, she has been a practicing PTA consultant working 1 on 1 with adults with disabilities at adult day care programs. Working in the pediatric setting has been a long time goal of hers. She has internship experience at Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach, CA, where she helped to treat in the inpatient, outpatient and aquatic therapy setting. She feels the pediatric setting is very rewarding and she loves that she is able to help her patients attain their goals early in life to set them up for a bright and better future. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys cooking, spending time with family, including her miniature schnauzer named Cooper.

Jacinda earwood

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 

Jacinda graduated from California State University at Long Beach in 2019 with a BA in Art History that focuses on helping underserved communities. She is here at Up & Movin getting to know the kids through greeting you at the front desk and making sure they get the help they need by processing the paperwork as an Administrative Assistant. She hopes to continue her education by pursuing an MA in Art History so she can make art more accessible to kids and audiences everywhere through museum education programs. In her free time she enjoys drawing and painting, playing video games, and taking care of her ever-growing plant collection.  

BROOKE OCAMPO

MEDICAL BILLER 

Brooke attended Lord Fairfax Community College and received a certificate in Medical Billing and Coding in 2010, and a licensed coder through the AAPC in 2010. She has been doing medical billing for 5 years. Brooke is grateful to be able to support the doctors and therapists who are doing a good work treating and caring for the kiddos. Brooke has three kids of her own and loves to spend time with them. When she is not working, she likes to go to the beach, hike, and do anything outdoors. 

TAMARA THOMPSON 

PTA

Tamara Thompson is a licensed physical therapist assistant. She graduated with an exercise science degree from Olivet Nazarene University in 2009. She then went on to receive her PTA degree from Loma Linda University in 2011. Tamara worked in an outpatient orthopedic setting for 6 years before transitioning to pediatric physical therapy where she has truly found her passion. Tamara loves working with children to help them reach their full potential to become as independent as possible. In her free time she enjoys adventures with her family, cooking, and playing outside in nature.
