Rei (Jane L.) Spickelmier

PT



Rei is a physical therapist who has been practicing as a physical therapist for 30 years. She attended California State University at Long Beach, earning a BS in Physical Therapy. She has experience working with California Childrens Services, in-patient and out-patient facilities for pediatrics, the Ayres Clinic in Torrance, California and other pediatric therapy clinics, in-home pediatric services, and four different school districts. She is a certified provider and instructor in project MOVE through MOVE International. She has been trained in sensory integration, cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial release, neurodevelopmental treatment, Pilates, Yoga, acupressure, serial casting, applied analysis of autism spectrum disorder, and handwriting training. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, camping, hiking, water skiing, gardening and being a mom.

Dr. Nicole Sanguino

PT,DPT

Nicole is a physical therapist who has practiced in the field of pediatrics for 15 years. She is a graduate of Loma Linda University and received her Bachelors in Science and Masters in Physical Therapy in 2003. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in 2006. Nicole has evaluated and treated children and infants of all ages and with multiple diagnoses. She has worked in a variety of settings including school systems, outpatient/sensory integration clinics, and early intervention home based visits. She has been trained in sensory integration, neurodevelopmental treatment, handwriting, early intervention, NICU, and Cascade DAFO orthotic bracing systems. She is also a certified instructor of infant massage and baby signs. Outside of working at Up & Movin, she enjoys scrap booking, spending time with her family, and being a mom.

Danielle Carpenter,

Danielle Carpenter has been a speech language pathologist for 6 years working with a wide variety of clients. She came to us from sunny San Diego where she completed her undergraduate and masters degree at San Diego State University. She worked in the San Diego schools for two years working with students from preschool to high school. In 2012, she moved to Riverside (where she grew up) and is currently beginning her fourth year in the private setting as well as a local elementary school. She has a passion for working with students with social/pragmatic deficits and loves to learn new treatment techniques. When Danielle is not working, she's cuddling her two month old daughter while chasing her 2.5 year old son around the yard! She loves spending time with them and watching them grow.

Dr. Natally Turcios

PT, DPT

Natally received her Bachelor’s degree of Science in Kinesiology from Cal Poly Pomona University, this is where she did her volunteer clinical experience at Casa Colina Hospital seeing a variety of patients of all age spans and diagnoses. Prior to physical therapy school, she interned for All Pro Health Center where she worked with children and assisted with sports physicals at schools all over LA County. She knew she was destined to helping those with special needs, and especially kids because of their energetic and happy nature that is so contagious to be around. She has volunteered for the Kids Triathlon and Tiny Tots Tricycle Race in San Bernardino, the Loma Linda Children’s Hospital Gala, and the My Play Club Summer Day Camp for Children with Special Needs. She attended Loma Linda University for graduate school where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and is loving being a part of Up and Movin’ Pediatric Therapy! Natally enjoys hiking, going to the beach, traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Amanda Fehlenberg

MOT, OTR/L
Mandi graduated from Loma Linda University in 2011 with a masters degree in occupational therapy. She has worked at Up and Movin' since 2011. She enjoys working with children of all ages and helping them to be as independent as possible through play. Mandi has experience and training in the areas of feeding, oral motor, handwriting, sensory processing, and school-based as well as early intervention. She has had training in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Handwriting Without Tears, and SOS Feeding Approach.
She enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

Claire Rogers

COTA/L

Claire is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sciences from Brigham Young University in 2007. She graduated from Santa Ana College as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in 2016.

She found her love for pediatrics while interning at a Sensory Integration clinic. She has a passion for helping kids gain valuable self-care and life skills using Sensory Integration approaches. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, including her three boys. She also enjoys sewing competitive swimwear, playing sports, and traveling.

Lori Jean Llamas

Administrative Assistant

Lori is an the Administrative Assistant here at Up & Movin.' She attended Summit Career College and received her certificate in Medical Billing and Coding in 2006 and Medical Assistant in 2008. Lori is the person who will answer and follow up on all of your child's authorization needs. She has three children of her own including one boy and two girls. They always keep her on her feet, make her laugh, smile, and make her love motherhood!! During her free time she loves doing arts/crafts and sewing.

Seana Inducil

Seana Inducil is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has been working in the field for over 20 years. Seana started working with at-risk youth in residential group homes and has transitioned to clients aged 1-30 years old with various diagnoses, in schools and family homes for the last 10 years. She has a passion for helping clients and their families find functional ways to be successful in life.

Ronit Mckee

Ronit Graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelors in Psychology. She went on to receive her Masters in Education specializing in Applied Behavioral Analysis. In 2014 she became a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst. She has been working in the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis for nine years. Ronit has worked with a population of children ages 2-20 with various diagnosis and is involved in training staff and families in the principles and strategies of Applied Behavioral Analysis. She has worked in organizing and providing social skills classes for children who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Ronit loves what she does and is very passionate in helping children succeed and fulfill their full potential. In her free time she loves spending time with her family, watching movies, shopping and cooking.

Janice McIntyre

M.A.,CCC-SLP Speech & Language Pathologist

Janice McIntyre has been a Speech Language Pathologist for 11 years. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including toddlers to adults. Janice was born in raised in Riverside, she completed her undergraduate and Masters degree at the University of Redlands. Janice currently works at a local high school part time. Her professional passions include language and literacy as well as assessments. When Janice is not working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 sons, and her husband. They enjoy camping and embarking on new adventures.

Austen Zimarik

Austen is a licensed SLPA who obtained his Bachelors in Science in Communication Disorders from California Baptist University. He has a passion for seeing the success in others rather than his own success. During his free time he studies techniques to further his speech education and practice. Austen also loves to golf and spend time with his family.

Connie Wells

PTA

Connie is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, she joined Up and Movin September 2016. She obtained her Associates of Science degree in 2015 from Loma Linda University. She enjoyed her first look at pediatrics during her clinical experience with California Childrens Services. Connie has always loved being around children. She loves spending time with her son in her free time. Outside of work Connie loves to travel, and spend time with her husband, family and friends.

Erica Lopez

Front Office

Erica has ran the front office for a physical therapy clinic for over 5 years.  She welcomes the kids with open arms and loves to witness their improvements over time. Erica is currently studying to be a Special Education teacher and is majoring in Early Childhood Studies with a minor in Psychology. In her free time, She enjoys spending time with her husband, dog and family. Her hobbies include crocheting, playing the ukulele and hiking.

Dr. Catherine Luong

PT, DPT

Dr. Catherine Luong graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with her Bachelors of Science in Biology while pursuing her passion for dance. After her undergraduate academic career, she wanted to combine her love of dance and the human body/movement with her desire to help people, so she sought out a career in physical therapy. She continued her graduate education by completing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University (LLU), and graduating with honors. During her time at LLU, she had clinical internships in various physical therapy settings including orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics. She fostered a love for pediatrics and a desire to help children with neurological and orthopedic impairments during her internship at Up n Movin’ Pediatric Therapy in Riverside, California.  On her spare time, she enjoys surfing, hot yoga, dancing, and playing with her miniature Australian Shepherd named Cody.

Barbara Wright

Barbara Wright is a bilingual(English/Spanish)Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. She has over 10 years of clinical experience. She earned her Associates of Science as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant from Orange Coast College in 2007, and earned her Bachelors of Arts in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Fullerton in 2013. Barbara has been working in the field since 2007, and has worked with a wide variety of disorders and disabilities, in which include: Autism (mild to severe), Apraxia, Down Syndrome, Articulation disorders, Receptive and Expressive Language Delays, Fluency, and much more. She has worked in schools, in home, as well as clinical settings with ages ranging from 15 months old to 18 years old. Barbara is very passionate and loves what she does. She will be applying to graduate school, so she can pursue her Masters of Arts/Science degree in Communicative Disorders to become a Speech Pathologist. She loves spending time with her family, friends, two dogs, listening to music, going to the beach, going to the movies, and enjoying every minute of being a new mom to her daughter Gabriella. She is very happy to be a part of he Up & Movin’ team.

Kristi Rapp

Kristi Rapp COTA/L earned a bachelors degree in Behavioral Science from Concordia University in Irvine 1996. Having a creative spirit she wanted to incorporate it into a career where she could continue to make a difference in people’s lives. In 2014 she decided to pursue an associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance from Santa Ana College. In 2016 she graduated with not only a degree but her first baby. Kristi loves children and has a great understanding of the developmental process. She firmly believes that they learn and grow better using a whole person approach in treatment and keeping it client centered. Treatment must be engaging, challenging and meaningful to the child and their family if it is going to be impactful. Outside of work Kristi enjoys family time, competitive ballroom dancing, drawing/painting, hiking, nature, puzzles and doing all sorts of arts and crafts. She also has a blog where she loves sharing ideas, therapeutic activities and recent art projects.

Gabriela Alvarez

Gabriela has worked with children for over six years in different settings. She has been a SLPA for about a year and a half, before which she worked as an instructional aide for a special education class and a preschool before that. She graduated from UCR in 2014 with a B.A. in Spanish linguistics. In 2015 she received her post baccalaureate certificate from CSULA in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Gabriela loves helping others which is what makes being a SLPA so rewarding for her. She also enjoys spending time with family, and traveling when possible.

Toby Bear Lopez

Therapy Companion

Toby Bear Lopez, is a poodle mix that was rescued from the shelter in 2014. Toby loves people and loves making new friends. He enjoys long walks, going on hikes, naps, and lots and lots of belly rubs. He is very playful and can not wait to make new friends in therapy!

Rosa Alvarez

Rosa Alvarez is a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. She has been practicing as a SLPA for 4 years in Texas and California. She went to Lubbock Christian University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Rosa loves helping others, but the best part of her job is showing her kids how to use their voice. On her off time, you can usually find her with her two dogs (Lexxee & Dozer), practicing yoga, baking, spending time with family, or doing anything outdoors.
